Michael J. Ferro is an award wining New England watercolor and Sumi artist that expresses the spiritual essence of his subject in his paintings. Through art, Mike tries to share a part of his inner self by letting the painting take its own direction to completion. Years of practice allows Mike to achieve luminous color quality in his watercolors by letting the individual pigments mix on the paper and not the pallet.
Mike Ferro holds watercolor workshops throughout New England and teaches Watercolor Breakthrough at the Marblehead Arts Association. His formal art education is from the Munson William Proctor Institute of Art in N.Y., the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Kaji Aso Studio in Boston.
His work has been shown in exhibitions and galleries throughout New England.
