Scholarships


Salle Mae Bank is pleased to announce our 2018-19 Scholarship program

The Bank is offering: fifteen (15) $5,000; ten (10) $2,500; and ten (10) $1,000 one-year scholarships

Applicants may either be enrolled full time for the entire year (24 credit hours or more over two semesters); or enrolled full time one semester and in practicum for the other semester

Applications must may be mailed as instructed and must be postmarked ON OR BEFORE April 6, 2018. Please direct any questions to scholarshipsSMB@salliemae.com, or contact Claire Scott at 801-320-3775. Thank you for time and efforts in disseminating to your students.

Weber State Computer Science Department Scholarships

CS students can apply for scholarships through the CS department each Spring Semester.

The deadline for 2018 scholarships is March 1, 2018.

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation was established by Congress in 1986 to serve as a living memorial to honor the lifetime work of Senator Barry Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years a soldier and statesman, including 30 years in the U.S. Senate.

    First Tuesday in September:
    Goldwater Online Application Opens
  • Early September to Late January:
    Individual internal campus deadlines are determined by each institution’s Goldwater Campus Representative. Check with your Goldwater Campus Representative for specific dates.
  • Last Friday in January:
    Goldwater Foundation’s nomination deadline (5:00 PM Central Time)
  • Late February:
    Nomination packets reviewed by independent review committee
  • Mid-March:
    Goldwater Foundation Board of Trustees reviews and votes on slate of Scholars and Honorable Mentions
  • Last Friday in March:
    Scholars and Honorable Mentions Announced (11:00 AM Central Time)

Women in Computer Science

With the number of females studying computer science near an all-time low, it’s clear action needs to be taken. There are programs, organizations, clubs, etc. out there to help women and younger girls to be successful in the Computer Science field through scholarships, education, planning, and other support.

AfterCollege STEM Inclusion Scholarship

$500 - Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study

Underrepresented groups may be defined by: gender, race, ethnic background, disability, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, nationality and other non-visible differences. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
